Oneida Teen Leadership Summer Program

The Oneida Nation Arts Program is looking for 13-17 year olds interested in having fun, hanging out in the community, and doing some good in the world. We are offering 10 – 20 positions with participation in music and/or theatre.

  • Music as Singers and/or Musicians (piano, guitar, drums, powwow drum, water drum, or Native flute)
  • Theatre Program as Actors and Technical Crew (artists, painters, lights, sound, and sewing, etc.)

PRIORITY will be given to:

  • KLU graduates and participants
  • Past MOC participants
  • Past ONAP camp participants
  • School music or theatre students

Dates and Times

There are two different events, you can opt for one or both.

Wisconsin Native Playwright Project (60 hours)

  • June 18 – July 27
  • Performance dates are: July 24, 25, 26 and 27, 6:00p – 8:00pm
  • Rehearsal Times are: Mon & Wed, 6:00 – 9:00pm
  • Oneida Random Acts of Kindness times: TBD

Music from Our Culture Project (60 hours)

  • July 16 – August 9
  • Performance dates are: August 8 & 9
  • Rehearsals times are: July 23 – August 8, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 – 12:30pm
  • Oneida Random Acts of Kindness times: TBD but no more than 10 hours total

Selected applicants will be eligible for cash appreciation. To receive a $200 cash appreciation you must attend all performances and at least 90% of scheduled rehearsals (or arrange makeup hours).  Those who attend all days and exhibit exceptional leadership qualities will receive a $100 bonus.
