The Wisconsin Native American Playwright Festival’s (WNAPF) mission is to find, encourage, and cultivate new plays written by Native American people. The festival encourages the creation of new works to sustain Native American theater as a vital artistic and dynamic and storytelling form. WNAPF works with beginner and established playwrights to produce new Native American plays from readings, radio theater, and full production. We also work alongside the Oneida Nation Community Education Center and the Oneida Nation Arts Program to expand the knowledge base by providing classes and workshops that continue that mission. We also work with help and funding from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and College of Menominee Nation’s theater program.
